1:1:1 | What if trying harder isn't the answer?
It’s another beautiful sunny Sunday.
How was your week? I hope it’s been going well ❤️
1 thing I learned
from My start-up journey
This week reminded me that sometimes the hardest part isn't doing more.
It's stopping and asking, “Is what I'm doing actually working?”
I had a few moments this week when I felt frustrated because I couldn’t see the results I wanted yet. And, as predicted, with my overthinking mindset, I started wanting to give up.
But when I looked back, I realised I actually had made progress.
I got real feedback from a customer about my website.
I spoke directly with Brisbane City Council about my market stall.
I kept testing AvoActivate and loved seeing the satisfaction, especially after another comment saying the avocado drink tasted even better than expected.
I kept writing, going to the gym, meeting people and building.
At the same time, I also noticed things I need to change.
I can get distracted by social media.
I can spend too long trying to make one piece of content perfect.
I can keep doing something because I want it to work, instead of stepping back and questioning it.
I think reflection means being honest about both sides.
Not blaming other people.
Not making excuses.
Just asking, “What part of this can I do better?”
Sometimes the answer isn't to work harder.
Sometimes it's to change the way I'm doing it.
1 question for you
Is there something in your life that you've been trying again and again, but maybe it's time to try a different way?
1 tip for your health & wellbeing
Don't forget to hydrate, especially when you're exercising.
I keep a water bottle with me and try to drink regularly throughout the day, rather than waiting until I'm really thirsty.
And when you're exercising, listen to your body.
