About
Building in Public: My Journey From Day 0
I believe ordinary people can do extraordinary things.
The path to building something of your own is rarely straightforward. There's uncertainty, self-doubt, failure, and plenty of moments where you wonder if you're making the right call.
I know what that feels like. Feeling lost, doubting yourself, looking for guidance in the middle of too much information. I wanted to write the honest account I wished I'd had.
So this is mine, from Day 0. Building businesses, testing ideas, learning in public.
I'm not sharing it because I have it figured out. I don't. I'm sharing the real process in case it helps someone walking a similar path.

Vision
Help ordinary people believe they can build a life they're proud of. It takes courage, discipline, faith, and consistent action. You can start from wherever you are.
Mission
Document the real thing honestly, one step at a time. Building businesses. Growing as a person. Looking after my health along the way.
Purpose
If you feel lost or stuck, I want you to see this and think: if she can start from zero, maybe I can too.
From International Student to Founder
In 2014, at 18, I arrived in Brisbane, Australia. An international student. A dream of a better future for myself and my family.
I came from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. A new country. A new language. A new culture. Everything unfamiliar.
Here's what that taught me:
Your starting point doesn't define your future. Your willingness to learn, adapt, and keep moving does.
I'd always wanted to build something of my own. Education and career felt like the foundation, the place to build the discipline I'd need later.
A Lifelong Learner
Self-learning is the one skill behind everything I've done.
It's how I did well in school. It's how I learned English. It's how I built a career in accounting, then earned my Chartered Accountant qualification in 2025. It's how I'm learning to build a business now.
Same method, every time: study, practice, reflect, adjust, repeat.
Becoming a Chartered Accountant was the goal I'd worked toward for years. Reaching it taught me something I didn't expect. Security alone wasn't enough. I had it, and I still felt there was more I was meant to do: to create, to connect with people, to contribute something beyond a stable career. That's what started all of this. It wasn't a plan to become successful. It was a realisation that success alone wasn't the point.

I started in accounting, working with businesses, financial data, and real problems. It sharpened my thinking and my discipline. The accounting was never the point though. The learning was.
I'm not an expert with everything figured out. I'm a guide sharing what I'm learning as I go. What I share here comes from a few places:
- My own experience: what I try, what fails, and what actually works.
- Mentors: people who've guided me directly.
- People I admire: lessons from their books, interviews, and talks.
- Reading and research: ideas I gather, test, and pass on.
- Other people's stories: lessons from people walking their own path.
Different sources, same test before I share anything. Did it actually help me move forward? If yes, it's here.
Building, Testing, Sharing
This is where I write down what it's really like. Not the highlight reel.
Right now I'm testing two things: Forever 18 Kitchen, and AvoActivate, an avocado drink built around health and convenience. Both are early, and both are still being validated. This is market testing, not a launch.
I'll share what actually happens: what works, what doesn't, what customers say, and what I'd do differently.
Nothing worth having gets built overnight. It gets built through curiosity, action, and a willingness to adjust.
What I Share
- Practical templates and frameworks I've actually used.
- Lessons on business, career, and personal growth.
- Honest reflections from my own breakthroughs, and the moments before them.
Every Sunday evening I send a short letter. Three parts, always the same:
1 Thing I Learned
Something I read or learned from someone else that week, and why it mattered to me.
1 Question For You
The same question I'm asking myself in this business and in life. Not just to think about, but to act on.
1 Tip For Your Health & Wellbeing
One simple thing I've learned from my Vietnamese childhood, family, teachers and life along the way.
That's it. No hype. Just the real process, one week at a time.
My Mission
Everything here comes back to one thing:
Help people find the courage to take action, and believe they're capable of more than they think.
Whether you're building a business, changing careers, improving your health, or just trying to find your footing, it happens one step at a time.
I hold onto faith along the way. It's part of what gives me the courage to keep going before I can see the whole picture.
You don't have to walk it alone.
