1:1:1 | When 24 Hours Doesn't Feel Like Enough
Happy Sunday!
I’m glad we’re still here for Week 2.
The weather in Brisbane is crazy, right? It was just hot for two days, and now it’s started getting cold again. So unpredictable! I feel like I’m going to freeze to death again 😂.
1 thing I learned
from My business journey
When you start building something seriously, there will never be enough time.
I’m feeling that this week.
Between testing AvoActivate, experimenting on myself and tracking the results, preparing drinks, improving my website, managing admin, creating social media content, building my personal brand, networking, going to the gym and finishing my self-employment program assessment...
Sometimes I honestly feel like even 24 hours wouldn’t be enough 😂.
I used to think choosing self-employment would mean having more freedom with my time.
I’m starting to realise that, at least in the beginning, it can feel like the opposite.
There is always something else I could be doing. So I’m learning that I can’t give everything the same priority.
I still want to make progress with the business, look after my health, go to the gym, eat well, meet people and enjoy life.
But I can’t expect myself to do everything perfectly every day. Maybe balance isn’t about giving everything equal time.
Maybe sometimes it’s simply knowing what matters most right now, doing that first, and being okay with letting something else wait.
While finishing my assessment this week, I came across something from Steve Baxter that stayed with me:
“The ones who win are the ones who take action, who work hard and who don’t quit when it gets hard.”
I’m definitely learning that part right now.
Nothing is perfectly balanced yet. I’m still figuring it out, and I’ll keep sharing how I go.
1 question for you
What matters most to you right now, and what can you give yourself permission to let wait?
1 tip for your health & wellbeing
Protect your sleep like you protect your work.
When you have a long to-do list, it can feel tempting to stay up and get “just one more thing” done. But sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop, sleep, and give your body and mind a chance to recover.
Tonight, try setting a time to stop working and stick to it 😴.
