1:1:1 | Spend wisely, not just less
Another Sunday is here :).
I hope you've had a lovely week and found a little time to slow down, recharge and enjoy the small things in life.
1 thing I learned
from My start-up journey
Starting a business has taught me that being careful with money doesn't necessarily mean choosing the cheapest option.
This week, I'm preparing for my first market stall, and there are so many things to organise, from food safety requirements and council inspections to buying equipment and preparing my avocado drinks.
One thing I've been thinking about is how to manage my startup costs without compromising the quality of my products.
For example, instead of buying a brand-new blender, I spent time researching, looking for second-hand options and negotiating. Eventually, I managed to secure a second-hand Vitamix.
Why?
Because when you're starting a business, you want to test the market and see how things go before committing too much money upfront.
I'd rather spend more time researching and finding ways to save on equipment where it makes sense, so I can put those savings towards what matters most: the quality of the products I offer my customers.
For me, it's not about spending as little as possible. It's about knowing where to spend, where to save and what not to compromise on.
I'm still learning how to make better business decisions, but this week reminded me that being resourceful is just as important as being willing to invest.
1 question for you
When working towards something important, how do you decide where to save and where it's worth investing more?
1 tip for your health & wellbeing
Have you ever tried body tapping in the morning?
In my family's traditional wellness practices, gentle body tapping is used as a simple self-care routine.
Using your open palms, gently tap your shoulders, arms, chest, abdomen, thighs and legs for a few minutes.
It's a simple way to stimulate your sense of touch, become more aware of your body and start your morning with a little self-care.
You don't need any equipment or a gym membership. Just a few minutes for yourself.
Remember to keep the movements gentle. It's not a replacement for exercise or a proven way to improve blood circulation.
Sometimes, looking after your wellbeing starts with the simplest habits.
